07 Yukon-Do I need to update to v.8r10

I have an 07 Yukon with a 5.3 non flex with cylinder deactivation and the serial number of my tuner is d00a157 and was born on 8/10/2007. I bought the serial cable to do updates but my computer only has one serial port and it is the monitor. What do I do to update if I need it?

You need to get a USB to serial adapter cable.Any copm store will have them.

The monitor port may have the same shape as a serial port, but count the number of pins

That is no serial port.

Okay, so I am an idiot on the serial port issue but to my credit my computer is in a hutch and it was dark back there. It looked to be the same shape.

Back to the question. Do I need to update if a drive an 07 Yukon with a 5.3 and my tuner has the v.8r07 software on it? Does it change anything to update my handheld for my vehicle?

We redid all of the tunes in the latest revision, plus added the AFM disable option.
