07 LBZ Predator Disappointment

Post by thime »

I have had it on about two weeks (Economy 45 hp setting) for about two weeks and it seems I have LOST 1-2 mpg's. I'm very disappointed , I am very light footed and let off early trying to squeeze all the MPG's I can. My truck is stock with the exception of a K&N air filter. Anyone have any ideas before I send it back?

Certainly not the norm...

Id suggest trying one of the higher HP tunes.
The economy tune is 65, but you listed 45, so if you are running the 40 HP tow tune, i wouldnt expect much of a gain.
Try the 85 or 100 HP tunes, with a light foot, they provide excellent MPG gains.

Thanks

I agree. The 85hp tune nets me about 19mpg city/highway.

I have tried all the settings and I'm using the 120hp setting and I'm getting 18+ mpg city. Huge difference from the 11 mpg I was getting. I would not have guessed the highest HP setting would have given the best MPG. I haven't been on a highway yet.
