whats up gang!! new guy here...so i just received my brand spanking new inTune today and i went to install, and when it came to doing the fine tuning, i got a little confused...can somebody help me out in how to get the very best performance i can out of it??

so far all i got other then the tuner is an open air intake from K&N and true dual exhaust with 12" glass packs, 2 1/2" out...with more to come later on, but baby steps for now

did you update the intune to all of its latest updates first??? if you haven't registered it yet or updated it at all, restore original backup stock tune to your truck first! then proceed...

you will need to connect it to your PC and do the registration to register it.. if you don't register it, you are only allowed to do two updates to it - and there are a lot more than that that you will need to let it do, hehe...

after you do the registration, let it do its updates... there are a lot of them, so it may take a while (45 min? or more?)...

and when it seems like after its finally done and just sitting at the main screen, then unplug it from your pc, wait a few seconds... then plug it back in again.. and it will probably do some more updates....

after all the updating is done... then you can connect it to your truck and select a tune to install - either the 87 octane tune, or the Diablo Tune (for 91 octane gas or higher).... and if your tranny is supported, it should also ask you to select a TCM tune to install - either firm shift or hard shift....

What a wonderful, family friendly forum this is..........I got this today at work and got a big WARNING on my Govt. computer. Then is locked me out of the site due to a security threat. Guess I will be talking to the boss Monday when I get called in for looking at porn on the computer at work...........Hope this is still here then so I can show them I was NOT looking at porn.
