The inTune is NOT very user friendly is an understatement

Post by rsherman3421 »

If it's not clear yet to Diablo the inTune is NOT very user friendly. Way to many smart people having problems, and no one to help on the only 2 days working people have with their cars, and trucks. Maybe this is normal for the new roll outs but just saying it very frustrating. Thats my bad news, now the good news. Once I was able to get the inTune updated and the the car loaded with the new tune all the frustration left. The car is not only beautiful, but its bad fast. Huge improvement for my 08 Corvette and the A6 transmission.

It is not difficult to understand your frustrations, as I have had similar. However, the Itune is very user friendly once one finds the patience to learn how to use it.

The tool covers a LOT of different applications therefore with each VIN and associated vehicle options there is a different screen and adjustable options within the tool. Point is; unless you communicate with someone who has extensive experience with an exact vehicle as yours, chances are you will not find anyone else who can tell you exactly how to use the tool on your vehicle... you just have to play with it and learn as you go ;)

I actually find using it very easy. However, updating it gets a little frustrating. The GM TCM update took over 70 minutes for me and a smaller update (the newest TCM update) locked up and ran for over 2 hours saying do not unplug it. Unplugging it and plugging it back in solved the problem. In the truck I'm more than happy with it, tuning, navigating, logging, etc.. I have also plugged it in the truck and just dug through it a few times with the truck on and not running to find out all the ins and outs of the unit relating directly to my vehicle.
