CAI setting question regarding K&N filters

Post by MagnumJames »

I just purchased a Trinity yesterday, and today I installed a round style K&N air filter in place of the stock square air box. The filter is from a GMC Envoy, and the i.d. of it is the same as the i.d. of the factory hose that comes off of the throttle body, so I took a piece of HDPE pipe, and connected them together to make it work. My question is, with this filter setup, should I be running the 91 octane with CAI tune, or should I just run the standard 91 tune? Or, will it even make a difference either way?

The vehicle is an '06 Magnum AWD R/T, and there are no other mods other that the Trinity, and the air filter.

Thanks!

Run the CAI tune. Its not like it matters. The CAI tune just adds more fuel.
