out of the box trinity has issue.........Internal Update?

I purchased a predator Trinity from Maryland speed on Tuesday. I received it today and now even after rebooting I keep receiving this message.



I am sure you can understand my frustration being it is brand new.

I have contacted Maryland speed and was told I needed either an RMA or authorization from Diablo to send me a new.

Can anyone assist?

Im sorry but that tool will either have to be swapped out or send it for service.

Same thing happened to me last month, and i got it from Summit Racing, and they sent me a return label and got a new one with in a week.
The new one was way out dated, needed to revise(update)

This has happened with A LOT of Trinitys lately. I don't remember it ever happening when they were new, and then something got screwed up either with the hardware assembly or somewhere in the software that screwed up everything. Kinda makes me wonder if the manufacturer was changed when they went from the bottom iPod plug to the rear Molex. Thats when the problems seemed to start.

My 3rd Trinity just arrived today. I am hoping it works.

If you send it to Diablosport, you are going to have to pay the shipping.

Since it is defective right out of the box, and this is a widely known problem, Maryland speed should send you a pre-paid shipping label to send it back to them.

The Trinity's come with version 1R08c. 1R09 is supposed to fix the issue. I am hoping the one I got today will turn on, and then I am going to update it immediately. I'll find out tomorrow.

Make sure you have 1r09. My 2nd one worked for about a week, and then locked up with this "1" error.

The Trinity's come with version 1R08c. 1R09 is supposed to fix the issue. I am hoping the one I got today will turn on, and then I am going to update it immediately. I'll find out tomorrow.

I downloaded the drivers, then the Downloader program. Along-the-way it has you plug in the Trinity and it downloads the most recent update.

It downloaded and installed 1r09 and then it downloaded 1r09a. It downloads the most recent version for all the supported vehicles, so it takes awhile.

So far, the third time's a charm. I hope 1r09a permanently resolves this issue.

my trinity has the same error message, so it needs to be repaired?
what about the stock backup that is in the tool now??? do i have to go to the dealer for a reflash??
i was hoping for better than only working for 3 months

Fill out the RMA request. Don't worry about the backup. It'll be there when you get it back or they'll help you get it there.

You have to fill out the RMA request in the Support Menu above. They'll email you with the info on where to send it.

If you purchased it recently, you can send it back to where you bought it, and have them send you another one. The problem with that is the next one might be bad too.

You can send it to Diablosport, and hope they've finally fixed the issue, but they may keep the tool a while.
