'07 -'10 Wrangler JK Hesitation

The '07 - '10 Jeep Wrangler JK 6 speed manuals all have this nasty hesitation that comes and goes. It's most prevalent during normal acceleration (maybe 30% - 40% throttle) while rolling back on the throttle right after a shift. It seems to always happen when throttle is being added in the 1,500 - 2,500 RPM range. So besides shifts, if you are just cruising at 1,600 - 2,500 and roll in 30% throttle you often get this hesitation. It's not a stumble and it's not throttle lag. As you roll into the throttle you hear the engine make more noise but it feels like it falls on it's face for about 1 - 2 seconds.

Many, many 6 speed manual JK owners (with and without programmers) complain about this issue.

I currently have a superchips flashpaq and it does not correct the issues. I have used the flashpaq to watch the engine parameters when it occurs. When it occur the ignition advance actually goes negative. So if I remember correctly when you're cruising you'll see ignition advance numbers of 24*, but when you roll the throttle in and the hesitation occurs it will drop to an amazing -3*.

I'm curious if the Diablosport crew saw this when they created their tunes for manual Jeep Wrangler JKs. If so was it something you were able to resolve? If it was I would switch to your programmer in a heartbeat (as would many other JK owners).

well, I can honestly say I have never seen one of our customers complain of this issue...
