Early 05 300c problem

Post by scarbrs »

I tried the intune on my early build 05 chrysler 300c. It came up "No ECU Found". Does this mean the intune doesnt suport older canbus cars?

We are having a similar problem with a 2005 Chrysler 300 only with the V6. Any insight on what might be going on? It pops up with "No ECU Found, Check Ignition. No ECU Found, Check Cable" then resets back to the home screen and the process starts over again.

Problem is that the download was installed in the car and when we went to change the tire size for the customer, this is what happened.

Please advise.

I believe mine did this as well. I had to switch back and forth to the car & computer. I saw someone on the Charger forum write a different set of instructions. I got the tuner, plugged it into the car and it didn't work. Plugged it into the laptop and let it update completely. Plug it into the car it gave me an error. I thought there was an issue with the tuner but plugged it into the laptop one more time and updated it again. Then when I plugged it back into the car again it worked perfectly. I never had an issue after. For some reason it wouldn't register until I updated it twice. Not sure if it will work for you but it can't hurt to try. I think the tuner needs to verify the VIN before it will work or something.

I bet its the extra pin the 05s have. I think its #12 or 13 that needs to be removed. Not sure which. MSD took down their page that had the info.

I guess my question is what can I do to resolve this. The tune was successfully installed into the car, but when we went to change the tire size after the fact, it is saying it can't find the ECU. I just don't know if this is going an intermittent issue and don't want the customer to have these same issues when he leaves.

Any ideas?
