Intune Quality??
I am kind of worried about the quality of my new intune, it feels like it could fall apart at any moment. Has anyone had any issues with them breaking? Or has anyone dropped theirs without it breaking?
Is their any warranty on these things? I know that there is a 30 day satisfaction guarantee, but how about warranty after 30 days?
If there is no warranty, is there a way to have my intune repaired if it does break?

Re: Intune Quality??
the tool has a 1 year warranty.
I have abused a few intunes pretty heavily, they do not break easily

Re: Intune Quality??
Just be gentle when putting the (ipod looking end) into the intune i already broke the prong inside the intune and had to send it back but diablo sport was more than helpful and the company i bought it from (alligator diesel performance) got me a new one in less than a week.

Re: Intune Quality??
Ah, i decided to take the intune home and plug it into my own computer instead of the performance shop doing it for me. Apparantly there is a whole users manual on this thing!!..who knew... And it outlines the warranty info...
One more question, my intune has 0 free bytes. How do i add tunes when i have no space?

Re: Intune Quality??
tunes are dragged to the intune drive then the tool imported them internally.Erickson5006 wrote:Ah, i decided to take the intune home and plug it into my own computer instead of the performance shop doing it for me. Re: Intune Quality??
the letter will change all the time, it means nothing.
Intune drive is where tunes and updates go, Diablosport drive is where the auto updater and documentation live.
Thanks

Re: Intune Quality??
Hi, Im new to Diablosport. Just purchased a new intune, plugged it into my PC and made necessary updates and all went well. Then, I plugged it into my 2011 Silverado to tune it following all instructions and the unit would never power up as it did on my PC. I tried it a few times and nothing. After messing with it a few times I unplugged the OBDII cable from the unit to inspect it and it looks like at least one of the prongs are broken in the connector of the intune? I called Autoanything (where I bought it) to start the return/replace process and they told me it would take at least three weeks to replace it pending their inspection to ensure it was a "maufacturer defect" before they would send me a replacement. I am EXTREMELY frustrated that it is going to take this long to get a replacement! Is there anything I can do to speed this process up? Any help from Diablosport would greatly be appreciated.

Re: Intune Quality??
Got mine from autoanything and it was fine although it did look to be a used product. It had fingerprints all over the screen and the instruction sheet look like it was in someone's busy glove box. Regardless of all of that, it does work flawlessly so I'm not complaining. I remember once when I had to return a AEM cai with bent tubing at the tip of the hole and autoanything was giving me the run around stating that they had to first talk to this person and that person so I just kept it and fixed it myself. It sucks having to wait 3 weeks tho. Good luck.

Re: Intune Quality??
Thanks 5liter monsta. I was hoping maybe I could deal direct with Diablosport and have them replace it quickly. I'm very anxious to load the tune and I already had to wait over a week to get it in the 1st place. I have been reading up on the tuners here for the last couple of weeks and months and just ordered it. I hope the results are worth the wait? I love my truck, but can't stand the AFM feature. I bought a V8 for a reason! If I wanted a 4 banger I would have bought Japanese.

you can fill out the rma form on our website and send it in for a fix, but it may be quicker to see if the retailer can swap it outSilver11 wrote:Hi, Im new to Diablosport. Re: Intune Quality??
Nobody likes AFM. I like it. Makes driving a game, to see how long you can keep it in V4 mode. Got 16mpg with my Denali doing that this weekend, averaging 80-85mph. I'd actually like to keep it in V4 mode longer.
Re: Intune Quality??
If the AFM kicked in at 65 mph and over only in 6th gear I would like it too. I have flowmaster exhaust and the sound it makes in V4 is enough to drive me insane. I am a life long Chevy man and I'm questioning the engineering behind this? It's one of those thing that look good on paper, but in practice, not so good.
Mikel - I think that I will just wait for the retailer to replace if it won't help to go direct through you guys. I tried to email you back, but it just looks like I got a bad unit. I hope that's the only disapointment that I have with your product, I withholing judgement for now...
