drift/slip on wet road

Post by vmlinuz »

I all,

Just need some input from you to know if it's normal on wet road that my 09 GC SRT8 slip when I turn.
I did it 2 times yesterday turning on a wet road. I drived quiet and this gave me real strange sensations.

I have not same coming back to stock tune, and driving same speed and wet road. So is there TCM tune bad my side ?
Thanks for you help

Thats the reduced torque management. Its supposed to be like that. You need to learn to control your foot, because traction control is not nearly as effective without torque management.

I had that, so I turned down the throttle response to about 12 or less, had it on 20. great for when its dry but if wet can be scary.

So should I come back to stock tune for safer winter season ?

Safer, yes. Way less fun though. :D

You didn't buy any kind of SRT8 to go slow and be cautious did you? LOL. Have fun, learn to drive without the electronics first. My 78 Firebird had nothing like traction control, but it sure was fun. Now that I can be safer in my 300, it's a bonus.
