I finally broke down and took my truck to the delership to have my engine controller reflashed to get the custom diablew tune out. afterwards i was alittle nervous to hook the trinity back up to truck but curiosity got the better of me and it saved the factory backup fine and lets met install any of the programmed tunes for my truck with no problem.but it pops up a message as soon as i enter the performance page saying there is a problem with the custom tune i have on the trinity and it will not be used. so i guess i just wanna say thanks for charging me extra lew for buying the trinity from you along with a custom tune and then the tune not working right and costing me another hundread bucks to get it out of my truck.only thing this paperweight is good for is checking codes and setting tire size! thanks guys one more sucker to the list!
WOW is right!!

dude, really wish you would have fricken emailed me and not just going off like you did... that post you made is totally off-base for what your issue is, and the custom tune is NOT the problem here...

the issue you have is because you had the dealer update your ecm with new GM stock tune, so that's why the current custom tune won't work for you anymore, because now the engine calibration ID's are different, so I just need to re-create your custom tune for you based off your NEW original backup stock tune file man...

geez....

this is NOT an issue caused by me... had you emailed me about this, I could have told you this plain and simple man...

just get me the new copy of the new original backup stock tune file out of your trinity and send it to me, I can recreate your custom tune for you in minutes and send you an updated tune and you'll be good to go...

geez man, I really wish people would ASK about something before just posting stuff like this, when it's clearly a user error that I can solve easily, and it's not a tune issue...

whenever a dealer flashed your pcm, you HAVE to get a custom tune recreated from the NEW original backup stock tune that the dealer installed, because it changes your engine calibration ID's, so of course the previous custom tune won't match up, because it has the older/previous calibration ID's in it man... yeeesh....

no the sad part is i had to post that up to even get yalls attention. nobody cared when i was saying that the trinity just up and dissapeared with my factory backup in the first place it was just oh no problem just go shell out money to get your truck reflashed well thats perty bad in my book. i do apologise for coming at you like that lew i was just angry at the time im sure you do good for alot of people i just wasnt satisfied. in the end there needs to be a way if somthing happens to the tool like that and you have your original backup saved on your pc that you can put it back in the tool that would have solved all the issues to begin with really thats all i wanted the whole time

Well, it did not come off that way, all you need to do is email Lew or post the new backup here and it would likely take him all of 3 minutes to redo the tune for you....no worries.

yeah man, you never even emailed me about the fact that you got your pcm reflashed, otherwise I could have done all this already and this wouldn't even be an issue...

but yeah, unfortunately, when something like that does happen with the tool, there isn't much that can be done with the tool itself by ME... that's something you did need to contact diablo tech support about... so that's why there wasn't much info/help I could provide to you via the forum posts dude... and if it was something that THEY couldn't fix or figure out at the time, yeah, the only option is to get the vehicle reflashed to stock by a dealer, and have the programmer reset....

but no worries man... like I mentioned... just email me your new original backup and last tune written files whenever ya want, and I'll re-do the tune for ya... then you'll be good to go... ;)
