What does the 87 octane tune do? And how would it differ from the stock programming?

fueling, throttle, fans, knock retard, torque, torque management, etc. etc. settings tweaked...

Is the Diablo tune made for a specific octane rating? And would it hurt to run a lower octane? As far as i know, the knock retard is kind of a safety net, but would the Diablo tune have shut it off?

Diablo tune is 91 or better if theres no 91 tune, or 93 or better if there is a 91 tune. Yes it would hurt to run a lower octane. KR can only do so much. Once you have more knock then the computer can pull timing, then you have a very real chance of burning and chipping pistons and blowing shit up.

Well it ran the Diablotune fine on 87 octane for 3 days, but id better not push my luck. Thank you for the fast reply.

The octane rating at the stations here are 87 89 92, I wanna run the 91 cai tune but I don't know what gas to run please let me know what the same octane is to run with that tune!!
