200 mph

If memory serves, I believe Mike mentioned that the V might make 200 mph. The only problem I can see with trying other than the legal aspects and lack of a long enough straight road is that both the ZR1 Camaro and the blown Mustang both required major redesign in the front ends just to make enough down force to keep them from taking off. Does the V have the same rework?

The V is fine at speed. The stock manual has been tested to 193 (stock the auto isn't allowed to shift to 6th so its limited to 175). It has the same body and suspension as the automatic, so the extra 7mph shouldn't make much of a difference. The stock airdams and stuff already make downforce, so the higher the speed the greater the downforce.

However, I don't know if Chris (smackdownsrt) has the cajones to shoot for 200mph. Its his car now, so if my/his V is gonna do it, its on him.

My boss went over 200 in his stockish V on a long downhill run....and his A6 will shift into 6th at WOT
