Hello !
I planned to buy a U7191 for my 2005 C6 vette but someone told me that the predator doesn't work with the granatelli maf sensor ?
Is he right ? Is it possible to go through this uncompatibility ?
C6 2005 corvette with :
* b&b bullet exhaust
* granatelli maf sensor
* air intake
It is not the cold air MAF...
I have to conclude that I cannot use the predator...
Thanks
David
Do what you like, but there is no reason you can't use the predator with your version of the MAF, since it isn't calibrated for the cold air intake. Your version only flows better, it produces the same voltage output the stock unit does for the same amount of air flow. The predator will in no way know the difference. I disagree with that posting, unless we're talking abou the calibrated for cold air version of the MAF, then it applies.

Honestly, you will see better results from just the Predator without the MAF, rather than avoiding the Predator to keep the MAF.
Also, as you make other airflow improvements over time, the car will become way lean without a way to properly add fuel.

Before doing a mistake...
I've just bought my predator u7191...
I have the cold air granatelli Maf sensor, b&b bullet and air intake.
Can I perform a diablo tune without doing a mistake ?
Do some people have cold Granatelli Maf and Predator ?
yup, and everyone that has the cold air granatelli has big problems trying to get their car tuned... remove the granatelli, put your stock MAF back on, THEN tune...
the stock MAF is good for about 500hp anyway, so no need to change it...
I had the cold-air granatelli when i bought the predator. It threw my fuel trims and timing way out of whack. I just could not get them to stabillize. So I had to swap back in my descreened stock unit. After doing that they were fine. With that said, the descreened unit was giving me problems also. It seems the screen really does straightin out the air flow. My IATs were way off except @ WOT. The incoming air wouold not pass over the IAT sensor(located in the MAF) properly until it had enough velocity. I took a screen off another unit and installed it, the IATs went back to normal. The stock MAF works much better!
