2013 ZL1 tune

Post by wizzard540 »

I have a Trinity tool SN 6JV89D4-1 version v.1r08b. I have used on my 2010 camaro ss then my 2011 corvette c6. Now I have a 2013 ZL1 and see a tune for the 2012 ZL1. I was wondering if this tune will work on my new car or do I need to wait for a newer tune to be developed? Thanks in advance.

You need to wait until they add the 2013 support. They're saying a week or 2.

Just following up on the thread. Any progress with the 2013 Camaro ZL1 tune? Would like to install my SC / Crank pulley kits, etc.. before winter hits Central Illinois. Appreciate any updates. Thanks.

Hope you bought injectors, a heat exchanger and pump too. Adding just pulleys is not gonna work. You're gonna run out of gas on the top end and heat soak like crazy, causing knock.

Dear Mike,

Yes I have everythng I need, 63lb injectors, exchanger, ca intake, factory fuel pump will work just fine for this set up according to everyone I have consulted with.I know someone running my same set up, except...he had a professional tune/ dyno. I am considering the same if I don't get a tune for the trinity soon. The problem is, No dyno shops in Peoria IL that I know of. btw you didnt ask me what size pulleys I am using which makes a huge difference as well. maybe I made it sound more dramatic than it is, but I have it calculated at aprox 5 psi boost gains (pulleys only ,no tune) add a proper tune and yes..it could double, what I want is control of the ecm ( sc over runtrouble code, engine light etc...I could run it with no tune ...but it would throw codes left and right... not to beat a tired horse, but just looking for a release date for the 2013 zl1 tuneo on the trinity t1000. Thanks again for your concern Mike, I want to get it right too!

Just making sure. I did just the lower pulley on the CTS-V and maxxed out the stock injectors. 63's sound very small for upper and lower pulleys (assuming you're doing 9.55 and 2.55, which is probably wrong if you're just making an extra 5psi, which just the 9.55 does with the stock upper). We use 80's (ID850's) for just the lower (13.5psi), and 95's (ID1000) for upper and lower (17.5psi).

NO.Does this mean you never had a 2013 to test and thats why theres still no tune available? I never saw it in the "vehicles needed" section so I assumed you guys had one, tested it, and were working on the tune. I could send you my ecm if that would helpor anything else that would help. Also, I don't know any SoFla zl1 owners, but I hear its nice there this time of year. 26 deg. here this morning.
