future functionality

Post by NealXB2003 »

I've had some tuners in the past that allowed me to enable disable things like, seatbelt chime, fog light/high beam override, etc.

Any plans to add similar functionality to the diablo in the future? I found those two things to be very useful........

Don't do the seatbelt alarm. Seatbelts are the law in every state but NH. Theres absolutely no reason to not be wearing one. Even if you're driving 2 feet, put the damn belt on! :normal:

So you would rather have the driver distracted by a pinging noise? That doesnt even mention the whole side of just let a guy choose for himself. I do however ALWAYS wear my seatbelt but it should be a choice IMO.

Theres no choice. The law says you wear it. You wear it, there's no noise, no distraction.

I do wear my seatbelt every time I'm on the road, but there's no reason to have it on when I'm backing my boat down the boat ramp........

I wear the belt when I pull out of the driveway and into a spot on the street. It takes all of 2 seconds to put it on and take it off, whats the big deal?

It's not about the effort it takes to put it on........it's about the ability to turn around backwards to watch where I'm going, especially when there's no boat on the trailer and you can barely see it over the tailgate.

You don't have a rear camera? I thought they were standard on all full size pickups these days.

I'd love to see the seatbelt chime GONE too. However my Chrysler gives the option to disable it if desired, so not a huge issue for me, but I understand if others would like to do the same.

Sometimes I choose not to wear the belt and could do without the annoying chime.

I would also like to say that when I drive on MY property to bring wood to and from the barn (the seatbelt law doesn't apply then) I sometimes prefer not wearing it because of the amount of times I have to jump in and out of the truck.

In New Hampshire there isn't any law that requires an adult to wear a seat belt.

I know where you are coming from, but there are many times where it is a nuisance and a seatbelt isn't going to do anything because you are going a max speed of 15 mph. I would just like the option to make a "grown up" decision of when I hear an annoying pinging when I am driving on my land going less than 15 mph.

On most "lower" trim levels they are optional. On my 12 Ram express, it wasnt even an option since it only had the stock (cheap) radio without a screen. I think it is the same with the other brands as well.

Yeah, but all you can see is the winch post and the front of the boat......you'd never see an object behind the boat. Much safer to turn around and look where you're going. The backup camera is great for backing out of a parking spot, not so much for going any distance beyond that, especially with a trailer behind you.
