dkoong wrote: there is an updated c code. i just wish they called it a 'd' or something to distinguish it. the file was updated on the 15th. one of the techs told me they fixed the file and reposted it. i am still wary and tuned with the b file which worked without a hitch.

EDIT : woops.. you are right. they pulled the new 'c' file and replaced it with the b file again on the 16th. LOL. obviously it wasn't fixed properly. LUCKY i didnt download and use it.
I updated mine on the night of the 15th, which was still apparently the crap 'C' code. I had heard they pulled it, so when it updated and was still C... and i read somewhere they updated it, i didn't think anything of it. The B crom file is available for download. Diablo posted it somewhere in these forums, i just can't do anything till they're on the phone. :(

when i had this problem with mine they updated my trinity with the 1r09c and it worked fine after discharging the cars system by touching the pos and neg cables together.
they reset my trinity which erased my factory tune, but they uploaded a new stock tune and force calibration. i have not touched the trinity since. im waiting for a permanent fix, not this version works or that version works if you try it 12 times and stand on your head.
so you guys are saying that the 1r09c they put in my trinity is no good and i need to update again to the 1r09b?

YUP 8) , but don't forget to erase the c code by following the procedure I mentioned earlier then it will automatically update to the NEW b code. I think that even if u have the OLD b code 1r09b, u have to get rid of it and get the improved one.

wtf? so there is a 'new' b code? or is it just the old one?

i must say i did get itchy and tried it. worked like a charm this time. no issues whatsoever apart from the blind spot detector not working the 1st time i started the car. then it was ok after that.

noticed nice improvements.

does anyone know if the shift points are raised as part of the 93 perf tune??? or do you have to do it separately.?

I called at 5 till and the phone let me get into the hold queue. 8:07am here right now (CST).

Sure wish it was toll free. Didn't wanna wait on hold via my cell phone, so i'm eating minutes on the home phone (who the heck has those anymore?!? lol)

smackdownsrt wrote:You should be more pissed about paying $60K for your overpriced hunk of tin and fake 87mm TB.

Kidding aside, did you unplug the battery for 10 minutes? Also, what does the Trinity say under Options, Last Tune Written?

PS. It's usually a good idea to tune early in the day during DS's business hours. Speaking from experience. ;)

hey what do you mean fake 87mm throttle body, teach me, did i buy junk? i got it from modern muscle, its an oem throttle body that was supposedly ported to 87mm, its not like i can return it, but if its not doing anything I'll take it out because it's leaning me out alot, i feel like my throttle response was much better but maybe I'm just tricking myself to believe thaqt since i paid the money out, any knowledge would be appreciated. :drivingbad: :drivingbad:

Mine's all fixed. Vas with Diablo connnected up to my laptop (wireless, out in the car) and we went through the process of resetting the Trinity so it could be programmed again. Uploading the old original 109 (no b, c, etc..) crom file, letting it update to the good 'B' code, enabling a forced calibration via passcode, re-downloading the calibration file after the car told the tuner it was necessary, and then tried 3 times to force the calibration... 3rd time worked and its all back to stock again.

Took about 45-50 minutes with me sitting in my car on the laptop. Vas is a nice guy, hope his day goes by quickly!

Man what fucking luck I have!!! I wait 45 mins on hold and mike finally picks up, so of course I'm not in the freezing car parked outside in this Michigan weather so he tells me to get to the car and he will put me on a brief hold so I can get situated, when he did that I got disconnected, man this fucking sucks, what a shitty experience, now I'm sitting in my car freezing my dick off, waiting on hold again, at 15 mins already!!!

Where's the 'like' button? :)

Glad to hear it. I didn't tune mine again yet, just drove in to work. Good to hear that Hemi again :) Do not use the MDS and/or Traction control options btw. Those are still off limits on the B code.

The Traction Control option shouldn't be used on the street ever anyway. Its designed for the dyno only. It disables not only the traction control, but also the ESP, ABS, and Brake Assist.
