99 corvette

Post by willy1964 »

I received my i1000 today and tried to use it on my 99 corvette. When I try to writ it says vehicle not supported. I have gone ito the test mode I think and it shows the vin to be correct and I have scanned for codes with it and that part seems to work fine.I have also updated it and still yhe same problem.
Does anyone have any ideas on how to get it to work on my car.
The list of cars supported on all of the websites I have checked shows my car to be supported.
Thanks in advance for any help I can get with this issue.

you probably have an old pcm engine calibration ID in the car, that's what is not supported... get your pcm updated by your dealer...

also, look in the TUNES folder on the intune when you connect it to your computer.. is there any tune file in there - did it save a copy of the stock tune in there? if it did, then post that file up here...

Hello again,
The tune file is empty.
What does PCM update entail?
Thanks

So basically the car pcm needs to be updated by the dealer and what kind of cost is involved with that?

Is the last post what you are needing or do you need something else?

Im just trying to sort out the calibration vs the names we use to see if the car needs an update at the dealer.

Not trying to be a bother and it seems that you are very busy but I checked with the Chevy dealership today and they said they could update the pcm on my car but he doesnt know if it would do what is needed concerning the PCM ID and it would cost 100.00 dollars to do it.
Have you been able to determine anything yet concerning my vehicle?
I would hate to have purchased the Intune and have to spend another 100.00 on top of what I paid for it to get it to work.
