Throttle Booster

Post by ddpowers »

Hey all, I'm new to the tuner community and had a few questions. I've got an 06 1500 Megacab 4x4 with 3.73 gears and 325/60- 18 Terra Grapplers. They are killing my power. I'm running the 87 oct. tune on an i1000 because 91 is too expensive to run in a truck that only gets 10-12 mpg (downhill with a strong tail wind). What else can I do to help out the mpg besides getting rid of the big tires? Got a 2" leveling kit and hate to go smaller on the tires. Don't want to look like I'm driving a clown car. What else will this tuner do for me. Thaknk!

My experiance with tuners and mpg is that i got better mpg with a high octane tune, more power means less effort to move the truck. I avg about +2 on a 91 tune over stock.

My experience is that my mileage sucks on all the tunes, stock included. It was best on the MPG Booster though, by a little over 1.5mpg. That was also on 87 octane.
