What changes in a tune for CAI?

What changes in a tune for CAI?
I was wondering what you guys normally change for a CAI tune. I know that a CAI tune isn't available right now for my 12 Charger SRT, but I wanted to know what changes you normally do for say a reg 93 tune vs a 93 CAI tune. I ask because my car has a CAI and it seems to bog down at certain times. While driving the other day at around 10 MPH, it almost stalled when I stomped on the gas. Is there anything that I can change in the tune (more fuel?) to help this? It almost seems like it's getting too much air and not enough fuel, but maybe it's something else that needs changed?

That's what I figured. I planned on doing this to eliminate the very small amount of ST Knock that I was getting (no LT) anyway, so maybe this will kill 2 birds with one stone. Anyone else that has has this problem and fixed it (whether it was fuel or another fix) please chime in. Thanks!
Re: What changes in a tune for CAI?
I just recently had the same issue with my '12 RT Max, running the DS 93 Perf Tune with a LMI Frankentake IV. The issue came out of nowhere, and almost caused me to have an accident. I thought maybe I had a bad tank of fuel, because before this, it had ran like a champ. Maybe it was the air temp and humidity or something! ??
2012 R/T Max - DS Trinity 93 Oct tune; LMI Frankentake IV; Mid-Muffler delete; BT Catch Can; 30% tint fronts, 20% back and rear; Escort Passport 9500 ix; TX Toll Tag <--- LOL! ;-P

SRT8York,
1. So are they advising to add 5% fuel at WOT to ALL rpm ranges?
2. Do you add fuel by going to the left on the bar (as in the Rich side) and not right, (Lean)? <-- Just making sure!!!! Makes since to add to the Richness, but I am new to these adjustments.
What I really need is a CMR tune!

They didn't specify what RPM ranges, but I am assuming and going to do it across the board. I'll start with 5%, but more than likely end up higher on all ranges, but definitely higher than 5% in the lowest RPM range. I've seen people add upwards of almost 15%, so there's a lot of room to play there. And yes, you want to make the car richer as CAI tend to lean a car out, hence adding more fuel will help.
I doubt that temp or humidity (unless your CAI is a wheel well mount) was the issue as the cars computer should always be able to compensate for that? Could have been just a hiccup or as you said, a bad tank of gas. In any case, as stated by DS plenty of times, I would try and add fuel. It couldn't hurt, especially anything as low a 5%. Just my $.02!BdyGrd wrote:I just recently had the same issue with my '12 RT Max, running the DS 93 Perf Tune with a LMI Frankentake IV.
