TRINITY ISSUES???

Post by cmf406 »

I have a 2002 gmc yukon xl 5.3 I bought the tuner installed it (87 tune) definitly feels good
picks up the gas mileage. Im happy with the product. I dont drive the truck for 4 days it runs
the battery down and my truck wont start. I put a charger on it truck starts good runs fine.
2 weeks later I park the truck for about 4 to 5 days again truck wont start. I figure the battery
is 3 yrs old could be weak so I pop for a optima red top. The next week Im on vacation dont
drive my truck for one week get back and wont start so I replace the red top optima again. 2
months later once again I go out of town set my truck for a week and get home and have to
charge it. I unhook the Trinity and no more issues I left for the PRI show get back the next
week truck starts perfect!!!!

Now were I have not had the trinity plugged up for a couple of weeks its now telling me

an internal update has been installed that requires a reboot.
please unplug your trinity briefly to cycle the power.(1)

Cycled it many times it wont work in my truck or the computer I dont know what to do!!
I want it fixed so wont drain my battery I wont to leave it in the truck and run a couple of recordings
I need to get a couple of tunes I have recently bought a cold air kit and exhaust I need more tuning!!!

You can't leave the Trinity plugged in if you aren't using the vehicle for more then like a day. Even in sleep mode, theres a power draw. The OBD-2 port is not a switched power source. It always has 12V.

As far as the error you have now, the unit is bricked. Its gotta go in for repairs.

Yes, you will need an RMA number. Under the support tab on the main site theres an RMA request selection. Just fill out the form and they'll email you a number and information.
