MPG Booster Tune

Post by jackd »

Is there a loss of power when installing the Mileage Booster Tune or does it stay the same as stock? From what I understand, the main difference is the truck will stay in 4-cylinder mode longer. Can someone give me more details about this tune, please?

no loss of power.
It will make a bit more power than stock in some places, but not everywhere.

I run the MPG tune "most of the time" in my 2010 Colorado 5.3. I don't have DOD but I've found the tune "wakes up the Bottom end" and does give better economy. Besides, it only takes a few minutes to change the tune for "special occations."

I find that tune to be very sluggish, especially with 87 octane in the tank.
