cant adjust after reading codes on another car

Post by timisrael »

Had been using my Trinity 1000 on my 2011 dodge challenger with no issues. My son came up in his Chevy truck and wanted me to check his check engine trouble code. went thru changing vehicle type and it told me I had to reinstall original stock tune on original vehicle. I knew I could only tune 1 vehicle at a time so was afraid to do anything till I got more info. Now when I put it back on my challenger and try to get into the performance menu it tells me latst tune was 93 oct perf and original tune needs to be reinstalled, I checked VIN and it still married matches my challenger but I cant get anywhere in the performance menu....Any ideas?

You shouldn't have had to change the vehicle type. For reading codes it should work with anything selected. Shouldn't have had to restore your original backup either.

Still no luck with the machine. Seems I can do anything except get into the performance menu. I don't know what I did wrong but it is basically useless in this state. It still has the last tune written perf 93 that is on my challenger and will pick up my vin in options\show VIN . I hate to think I was able to screw up a 600 dollar piece of equipment this easy...any help would be appreciated
