Happy With Intune! And a Question....

Post by Markystang »

I received my Intune yesterday, ran the updates and installed the 87 octane tune on my 08 Sierra 5.3l. I just wanted to tell you guys how happy I am with it so far. It's a very noticeable improvement! Better throttle response, more power, and the trans shifts great on the firm setting. And no more "helicopter" exhaust sound on the highway now that the AFM is disabled. I'm very pleased!
One quick question though....
In the transmission tuning section, the torque management can be adjusted + or - 20%. Which way will turn it off?
Thanks!

On my 2008 Silverado going positive on the torque reduction setting reduces the torque management for the shift you are adjusting.

sorry to hi jack the thread but i was wondering why everybody can turn theres to whatever setting they want but on my 2009 chevy 1500 5.3l i only have the option for on/off. i mean its nice to just be able to turn it off but im just wondering if this is normal or not. maybe because i have 6 speed compared to 4 speed or vice versa?

The torque reduction range now works like it should on my truck. Negative is less TM and positive is more TM.

Lew and Mike also verified this for me by looking at my tune files.
