P0602 won't go away after stock tune
I have a 2001 Mustang GT that I recently purchased. Has some mods and came programmed with a Diablosport Predator programmer which I have. I had the codes P0602, P0605, P1211, P1690, P1000. I know the P1000 is from me disconnecting the battery and I need to drive the car to get it to clear. I put the stock tune back in today in preparation for the Massachusetts OBDII inspection testing. I still have the P0602 & P1000 codes. Will both of these clear on their own? I cannot start the car right now because I have the exhaust off and some other small things I'm working on. The stock tune went in with no problems but I am concerned about the P0602 code. Today I also updated the CROM file to 9r09. I did try to clear the codes as well with no luck. Is there another option I can try with the programmer? I eventually will probably upgrade to the newer style tuner, but right now I just need the car to be OBDII ready. Can a dealer reflash my computer for the P0602? I understand that the P1000 is a "not ready" code and will eventually clear itself. Thanks for any help.
Re: P0602 won't go away after stock tune
P0602 is part of the KAM or keep alive memory. Pretty much the same as P1000.

Re: P0602 won't go away after stock tune
OK so does that mean it will clear like the P1000? I also noticed that when I connected the Predator to the computer and power supply that the "original backup" is still listed in the tune list. I verified with the Predator that the last tune written was the "original backup". Does that always stay in the Predator now? If I decide to sell it or turn it in for an upgrade is there a way to clear that original tune and restore it to "factory settings" Thanks.
Re: P0602 won't go away after stock tune
If it says the last tune written is the original backup then you're good and it's reset.

Re: P0602 won't go away after stock tune
Update. I installed a factory h-pipe setup and tried running the car in stock tune. It ran and idled great but once the engine warmed up and the idle kicked down it wouldn't stay running. I installed a modified stock tune with adjustments to the idle and gear ratio and now it stays running. I also noticed that once I installed the modified stock tune the P0602 went away. The only code I have now is the P1000 readiness code!
