Hello,
I don't own a Diablo programmer but I'm wondering if I should.
I read a user manual and understand that PIDs and parameters in general can be changed, but I have seen no mention of behavioural parameters such as
a) Time constant or hold time before return to idle after throttle fully closed. This currently depends on vehicle speed.
b) default RPM before return to idle.
I have a 2007 Ford Ranger 2.3L and since I reset my KAM it takes 6 seconds to return to idle when I arrive at a stop sign and never if I am just gliding in neutral.
There are over 15 PCM code updates for my truck type and year so I have little faith in Ford. (long story but I have ensured MAF/IAT/TPS/IAC are all perfecto)
Do any Diablo products give me control over engine operational behaviour as it relates to driving at a system level?
Thanks.
Slow return to idle. Is Hold Time a programmable variable?
