Superlift EGR Module

I just ordered my intune and its on the way. I have a 2010 Jeep Commander with the 5.7L Hemi. This next week I am ordering the 4" Superlift lift kit for it and as an option you can get this EGR module. Description reads:

"The Grand Cherokee and Commander were some of the first vehicles to include Jeep's Electronic Stability Program (ESP). Creating a true performance lift system with ESP compatibility has been a stumbling block for most suspension manufacturers. Superlift relies on our exclusive Electronic Geometry Recalibration (EGR) module, produced by AEV, to provide the properly calibrated steering input signal to the factory ESP unit. The EGR module also allows for speedometer recalibration, desired when taller height tires and / or different axle gear ratios are installed. The module simply plugs into an existing wiring harness located beneath the dash. Use only with the Superlift Grand Cherokee and Commander 4 inch lift systems."

What I'm wondering is do I even need this part or will the intune do all of this (minus the lane change thing and the reverse mirror feature)?

I am including a PDF of the install instructions and it outlines the features on this module. Any help here would be appreciated. I don't want to order this lift until I find out if I need this EGR module. I can save like $250 bucks by not having to order this so that is why I am asking.

the intune will not do what that box does, so my guess is you need it.

Will I be able top use both together you think? I know on my last rig I just had to turn off vdc every time i started it which never really bothered me. I think that is still an option.
