80% ish Throttle Position 2010 Camaro SS

Post by edog »

Similar question as below about the Mustang at 75%. I have logged several passes and my Absolute Throttle never goes up past 80 something percent. Does this mean I am losing out on 20% power? Or is it just a glitch or something? I actually just showed my dealer today (they are cool like that) and he said I should ask. Thanks.

BTW, I just got the "o" update and havent made a pass with it yet. I cant find any info on what the update did, but just in case I ask anyway.

Also just noticed the Launch control doesnt work correctly with the 91 tune loaded. The RPMs dont hold steady, it just goes slowly to redline. This is with the latest update.

Cool, for the record it was 84%, I ran a log today.

Any idea on the launch control issue with the 91oct tune?

80% actual throttle position is 80% actual throttle position even though 100% is commanded. With GM, unless you tune all the torque management out of the motor, the PCM will always limit. The intune software does not have an available modification parameter for PCM side torque management. Only on the TCM side.
This has been an issue for a long time.

The only mods to the 91 tune that I made (or intended to make) was the axle ratio bumped to 3.91.

Appreciate your time.

Both worked, I selected reset parameters when it came up. I appreciate it.

Hopefully I will be back to 93 oct next time I go to the track, but it is great to have the options open if I need it. I go back and forth testing with/without the launch control so this really helps. Let me know if you ever want me to test anything out. Thanks again.

yeah, for absolute throttle position parameter, that's normal...

if you log the commanded throttle position, it will be 100% when you're WOT to the floor...
