New Trinity question

Post by jwb5858 »

I have a new T1000 that I updated online with v1r09h. I have a 2006 GTO with a stock LS2. I've selected my car and it has the GM_CAN_GAS Part defined.
My issue is this, I see in the manual that when first plugged into the car a backup should occur.
When I plug it into my car it doesn't perform a backup and when I go to Performance, it gives me the options to install the predefined tunes. I'm nervous about doing this without a backup of my original stock tune.

The last thing I want is a 3400 lb brick in the driveway. :?

Thanks

You are doing it correct!
You must select a tune first in order for the unit to backup your original tune/tunes. Just follow the screen directions and you will do fine.
Only one thing to say about my "Diablew" Tune!

It worked perfectly, performed a backup and then loaded the performance tune.
Wow! what a difference. Less throttle lag, crisper shifts and now I have an oil pressure gauge.

I love my Trinity. :D
