How to know an intune is locked?

Post by Ddcervo72 »

I'm looking into buying an intune used. How do I know if the unit is locked or not with bringing my vehicle because it is in storage?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

hook it up to your pc, and wait for it to boot. It will make a drive with the volume name of InTune on it, in the root of that drive with be a file named info.xml

open it and it will look something like this

- <tool_info>
<main full_version="InTune-1r03h 02/25/2013 05:23:14 PM" sw_rev="1r03h" svn="5947" />
<registration sn="J21WH49-4" status="1" />
<cal_id PCM="12653674, 12649551, 12649513, 12625892, 12638844, 12640909, 12649856, 12649822" CM1="24265260, 24262476, 24266348, 24262480" CM2="20964291, 20964272, 22927747" />
<restore id="0" vin="3GCUKTE20DG282858" bc="2" />
<system_db info="1r01b" dtc="1r01a" vin="1r01c" />
<db mfr="DCX" tune="1r01b" pid="1r01a" />
<db mfr="FORD" tune="1r01m" pid="1r01a" />
<db mfr="GM" tune="1r01o" pid="1r01a" />
<license avail="1" tuned="1" />
<updates count="8" />
<oem tool_oem="DIABLO" />
</tool_info>

there is a line here that says <license avail="1" tuned="1" /> , if it is free it will say tuned=0, instead of 1 like this file does.
