Good day,
Here is some background information:
I have a 2011 GMC Sierra with LT headers, 3" exhaust, and a k&n intake. With all of this installed, I'm installing a wideband O2 sensor this weekend in order to better see what my A/F mixture is at since you claim that your preloaded tunes cannot account for the endless possibility of aftermarket mods. I can understand that.
I have some questions:
1. How do you turn off the AFM
2. What is the "CAGS on/off" select?
3. What is the "converter calibration COT on/off COT time delay"?
4. What is the "DOD on/off select"?
5. What will increasing or decreasing the "rev limit in gear" do?
6. What is the "TQ management upshift TM on/off" for?
7. What octane should you run with any of the "diablo"" tune?
I currently have your 87 octane tune installed with some firmness taken away from your "firm shift" tune at WOT. I'm just too nervous to have it shift very hard on a stock transmission.
I logged a 2nd gear pull and noticed knock at about 4400 rpm. It was only at a value of 1. There were about 4 following knocks, all cuttinh in about half of each previous knock. I know that the knock I saw isn't much to worry about, but I'd like to get rid of it if possible so that no timing is pulled and the power is always there.
Thanks in advance!!!

Re: inTune Options
#1 - select the tune you want to install.. then select to Modify Tune... go to DOD (displacement on demand) and select disable/off.. save the change, then continue on to install the tune...
#2 - CAGS is for manual transmissions, aka "skip-shift"... nothing you need to worry about...
#3 - COT is Catalytic Over-Temp protection... if you still have the cat converters on your truck, leave this alone... if you have removed the cat converters, then you can disable this...
#4 - DOD on/off Select is how you turn off your AFM... DOD and AFM are the same things, GM just changed the name for marketing reasons....
#5 - if you shift manually, it will allow you to go to higher rpm that you set
#6 - to disable torque management during upshifts
#7 - the "Diablo Tune" is made for 91 octane gas or higher...

Re: inTune Options
Don't worry about firm shifts hurting your transmission. The harder and faster the shift, the less heat is made. Heat is the enemy of automatic transmissions, so the quicker shifts are better for it then the languid stock shifts.
Re: inTune Options
Okay!! Thanks for that info!!
I have high flow cats, should I still leave the COT on?
when setting up the TCM tune, what is the purpose of the "sport/tow" settings?
does that mean that I can basically set two transmission shift settings and switch to it by toggling on/off my tow switch?
I currently have LT headers, 3" exhaust, k&n intake. I'm getting ready to install a cam, valve springs, pushrods, and a trunion kit for the rockers. When am I going to have too much power for the stock transmission? When do I need to start thinking about a shift kit?
Forced induction is in the future.

Re: inTune Options
You're fine on the tranny front. The 6.2L trucks and the Camaro SS use the same box and its been shown to hold up with 600+hp. No real point in getting a shift kit. The tune does the same thing in a different way. The tune increases shift speed by increasing pressure. The shift kit increases shift speed by redirecting fluid.

Excellent!!! Thanks Mike.
Re: inTune Options
is there an answer for the sport/tow question? please Im suddenly kicking my self about tuning my truck
Re: inTune Options
the tow/haul button simply tells the ecm/tcm to use a different set of shifting parameters...
so yes, setting things differently for tow/haul mode will make it shift differently than when not in tow/haul mode...

Re: inTune Options
The Sport/Tow mode lets it start in 1st gear. Otherwise it starts in 2nd. I always leave S/T on. Otherwise the truck is a slug.
