Some Help with Throttle Boost and WOT Parameters

Post by pdimarco »

Can anyone help me understand HOW I should use Throttle Boost and WOT parameters?
I did notice by adding throttle that it starts to remove the "dip" in acceleration. But just need to understand how this plays a part in the overall grand scheme of performance. I mean at some point you get diminishing returns.

If there are any links to read, Im good with that also.

So in summary two questions, at least for now.

What does Throttle Boost provide and HOW should I use it in the tuning process?

What does WOT provide and HOW should I use it in the tuning process?

1.) Throttle boost: I have read it reduces the electronic throttle lag on acceleration. The feature is set by selecting percentages I believe. (IE: 10%, 15%, 20%) The electronic throttle is suppose to respond quicker and the travel distance (gas pedal) to achieve 100% throttle is reduced.

2.) WOT: this means Wide Open Throttle. Adding fuel and adjusting spark are items under this flag.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the wiki links, Ill read.

I posted this on ChargerForumz and someone commented that the TCM learns this increase and seems to go back after a bit of driving. Not sure if you or anyone experienced this, but mine did seem to be NOT as responsive as when I first increased the throttle.

I just bumped it to 10% today and its a cracker, so will keep an eye in the next day or two if it still as that quickness to it. But just wanted to get input for others that may have heard or felt the same things.
