shift quickness? + or- ??

Post by triplblk91conv »

I will be putting my first tune in my 2103 Avalanche tomorrow am, and will
want the firm setting for shifting, and if there is delay I want to be able to
quicken the shifts by increasing line pressure.
I've read all the posts I can find about changing the pressure to modify
shift quickness, going up or down on line pressure. I assume higher pressure,
shift faster, lower is shift slower. WHICH WAY IS MORE PRESSURE? To the
negative, or to the positive on the tool?
Seems it used to be one way, then changed at some point in time. That's
probably why it's confusing to read older posts and try to figure it out.

So, which way is it?

simply loading the tune will make them quicker....you seem to be confusing shift time with shift pressure.

id suggest starting with the firm shift then adjust from there.
