hi this is keith the guy with the truck with blue flames on the front that drove to your headquarters down south so you could look at my predator and truck because of the prepare vehicle -154 code I was there for 3+ hours awhile back and you guys were unable to fix it I was told upon leaving that it was the trucks comp and to change it and everything would be good to go. well I finally saved up some money and brought it to a dealer and bought a new pcm/tcm they flashed it in (no refund now) I went to load my tunes and guess what the same damn thing happened prepare vehicle -154 so now I am out $392 with the same damn problem this is crazy when I sent my predator to you guys thru the mail for some reason the data cable was changed why you guys changed it I don't know but what I do know is I have a $392 waist of money in my truck and a$3200 trans I am trying not to destroy I need help with this issue quickly this is my daily driver

makes me wonder if it is a wiring issue in the vehicle.

if you'd like to send us the tool, I will gladly test it on another application to confirm if it is an issue with the tool or not.

It's not the tool tested it on another 2005 truck and it worked fine the predator caused the issue it worked fine up until the day it messed up loading the trans side so I brought it south I was there an entire day and was told PCM was issue so that's what I bought and guess what it's not it

I am a master mechanic and do wiring and diag tests all day long we have used a drb3 and testing the comm lines they all work fine I have chased all the wiring from PCM to data link connector now broken wires no issues there I bet the predator messed up the front control module while it was flashing in the tune and that's why I get that code but I have already spent unneeded money on a part I didn't need you guys told me was needed I am not tossing money at my truck and praying by all means you guys can and use it as a diag for your future issues.

The money I just spent was going to be for my wife's 2013 rumble bee. When a tuner was available but oh we'll now

Do you have any input on this situation or am I now s.o.l like everyone else it seems that has issues

Keep in mind that the Diablo guys are not mechanics. They aren't going to be able to diagnose a problem thats not computer related. PCMs are their specialty. Anything else is just shots in the dark based on what they've seen. Even if they were mechanics they probably couldn't diagnose this. I went to school for it and I can't.

It may not be PCM related but it was caused by the predator for sure the front control module on a dodge ram is the main pci bus in/out location so you could say it is comp related its all on the same bus

didnt we try flashing it with the factory tool while it was here?

yes while i was there you guys reflashed the pcm/tcm back to stock inside and in the truck but coudnt get the tcm tune to load in with predator or with the trinity i believe it ended up coming to the conclusion of the tcm is bad while i was there i called delray dodge and was going to buy one that day but they didnt have one so i went home assuming later on a tcm swap would fix the issue at least thats what i was told while i was there

this really sucks beacuse i have the stage 3 trans and no way to utilize its performance at all i am working with a buddy we are going to reflash the front control module and see if it does anything maybe just maybe it will work if not i dont know what i am going to do

the money i spent could have gone to other stuff on my truck or my wifes superbee its just irritating to spend that much for nothing if you know what i mean

did more diag on the truck narrowed it down to something the tuner does with cycling the key and powering things up and not powering things up

when you tunr key on all lights on dash power up and tcm relay energizes but during the tune load on tcm end of it the relay does not power up it doesnt even get power like the control module is not being told to turn it on may be related may not im not sure i was going to try and energise it manually and see if the tune will load that way not sure if it will or if it will hurt anything any ideas on this would be cool

wow its amaizing how little help or interest im getting here with this issue from you guys I want this to work and I need this to work I just cant believe im getting ignored especially when the problem is with a product I bought new from you guys

I still have not tried powering the relay up itself yet been busy at work lately is there a possibility that the tune files I have are somehow corrupted causing the tcm not to recognize the relay is on or something

another question could I possibly send a tune for a trans to you guys and see if there is anything wrong with it file wise just asking here

the predator loads custom tunes a friend of mine has just fine but we never tried mine I guess I could try that and see but I don't want to mess his truck up if theres an issue with mine

keep in mind all this started after I tried to alter a shift point in the custom tcm tune I have tried other tcm tunes very new ones too with no successs help!

I'm not sure what assistance we can be here. It seems there is a problem with the TCM inside the PCM. It may need to be replaced entirely.

Are you kidding me the PCM/tcm are one unit you guys know that come on really thanks for the lack of help I will figure this out myself and won't tell you what I find

Replace it entirely what do you think I just did for $398 duh and it didn't fix a thing diablo knows computers yeah right they know how to steal your money and brush the issues under the rug

I wish when I was there I gave the guy that helped me cash for his time he at least tryed to help

they are one unit the tcm is inside the pcm 0n the 2005 i dont have an 03 there just blowing me off and they have you around there finger no big deal i will figure it out thanks for nothing

Nobody is blowing you off.
if we were, i never would have offered to have you come here, nor even replied to this thread.

Simple fact is, out of 1000's and 1000's of HEMI rams on the road, you have a one off issue, and its difficult to be in that position when it is you, but it is the position we are in, and I dont have a simple resolution.
