Hi Mike,
Tried your new update (trinity_gm_can_gas-1t09ia_update.crom)..........didn't work. Still didn't extract my stock TCM file. Attached is the stock PCM file it extracted along with the last tune written. Still no TCM support.
What next?

Re: No TCM support on Trinity, 2007 Pontiac GXP
What does that cost? and what do I tell them? I've been to my dealer probably 10 times in the last 2 years. I bought my vehicle as a certified used car and they have fixed numerous issues with my car (not with engine or tranny) stuff like heater controls, rear defrogger, seat rails , wheel bearing, steering shaft, trunk leaks, etc. What I'm getting at, is that they know me, and I'm out of warranty now and there gonna try to get some money out of me if they can. I'm gonna need a good reason to have my computer looked at. Let me know how to handle it.
Thanks,
Terry
Thanks,
Terry

Re: No TCM support on Trinity, 2007 Pontiac GXP
The dealer checked for any ECM or TCM updates today and reprogrammed both ECM and TCM codes 11A55 and 18B28, whatever that means ($100.00 for those who want to know) . Boy the car ran like shit, bad throttle response, Idle jumped around, car almost died a couple times, first 1/2" of gas pedal travel did nothing, I was very concerned. I called the dealer back after about a 10 mile drive and told them all the issues. They said come back we'll check it out. I went back after lunch today. This time the car ran better (much better). The dealer ran the "TECH2" on it said all shift points etc were fine. They couldn't get the car to act up again. It still wasn't running perfect, but much better than this morning. Then they started asking if anybody else had been working on the car. They asked because when they reprogrammed the modules the service guy wrote a note that he got a "unknown calibration I.D." on the screen. he said, "That's not normal". I finally told them I had been loading tunes and trying to extract a TCM tune. My service guy is kinda cool, he understood, but still was against it. Anyways, once that was divulged he said that explains everything (He was glad I was open and honest with him) , just drive it for a couple days and things should return to normal "The computer has to re-learn everything".
My questions are:
a.) Does the computer really have to re-learn everything?
b.) How long should I wait for the computer to re-learn before I try extracting stock ECM and TCM tunes?
I've been running the 93 octane Diablosport Tune no DOD for 6-8 weeks and now I'm back to stock / worse. Boy, what a difference. I didn't even have the TCM tune installed nor Lews tune. I hope this update works. and can't wait to dial this GXP in.
Mike,
please answer my questions above and advise how to proceed. Also do those ECM and TCM codes mean anything to you? Do you think the Trinity will finally extract my stock TCM tune?
Thanks,
Terry

Re: No TCM support on Trinity, 2007 Pontiac GXP
I have never seen a vehicle run poorly after a dealer reflash, I think they something is amiss...
I cant imagine what he saw as a bad calid.....I can assure you there is nothing for him to see, especially once you were flashed back to stock.

Mike,
a.) What are you saying "I think they something is amiss..." .......................
b.) I saw the hand written notes from the service tech about the unknown calibration I.D...They found something!
Anyways,
Car is running fine today (stock tune from dealer). It was a very short time that the car ran goofy (1st 10 miles or so from re-flash). I think the motor and computer had to settle in (I don't know, just letting you know). Like I said before, I've been running Diablotune no DOD for 6-8 weeks and now I'm stock and it feels sluggish. Maybe I didn't realize how much the Diablotune really made a difference, I'll let you know soon.
I'm gonna try loading tunes this weekend, I'll let you know how it goes. The big question is, will it extract the stock TCM...................To be continued!

Re: No TCM support on Trinity, 2007 Pontiac GXP
It worked!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks Mike!!
I was able to load Diablotune no DOD and then it asked me for firm or hard shift. I picked firm. I never had this choice before. I watched it save stock PCM and TCM files and load new PCM and TCM files. I then went to my PC and downloaded the stock files and low and behold, I now have a PCM file and a TCM file. Awesome!!!!!!!
Attached are the stock files it extracted along with what is now loaded in vehicle.
Talk about a pain in the ass, but it all worked out. Car runs great.
