we are working on a 06 300c 5.7L with vortech kit. has ford blue giant injectors (39#) and i've made changes in the injectors Function tab for the voltage offset ford offers and then multiplied the fuel values (didn't touch ms) by 1.35 because these injectors are about 35-40% larger than stock.
these are the ONLY changes (well idle target of 800 to see if that would help) we've made in order to move in slow steps on this one. once it runs and idles, we'll put in the srt4 map sensor, rescale and tune it.
but the car will not start unless i hold the throttle 50% or more and then i have to keep it about 20% to prevent it from dying. it will not idle and it will not start without throttle input.
once it does start, fuel is about 13:1 until CL engages and trims are no more than -15% but it still won't idle.
this should be really simple, but somehow it's not.
something else to know. the car previously had a unichip setup on it, but that was removed. by its nature, unichip cuts no wires, uses a Y harness with factory ecu plugs. so simply unplugging it should remove it entirely. ran like pooh on the unichip as well so could be a mechanical problem but all PIDs look normal.
file is attached. please help.

That scaling seemed off a bit, try this one

Re: 06 300c won't start
wow!
started first try.
what did i get so wrong? really would like to know so it doesn't happen again. don't see any changes in the injectors, so where?
2 things now.
i will switch to srt4 2.25 bar map sensor so that scaling needs to be done. i'll probably just go to 1.7 in the tables and i've included that file so if you could take a look and see if i didn't make the same or new mistakes doing it.
also, i've attached a log file because the car just dies with only a little bit of throttle. if you stab it, that works and if you hold it at say, 3000, that works. but just a small tip in (less than 10%) and hold that, it dies. you need only look at the last 10s of the log, that's where it is.
thanks

Re: 06 300c won't start
Im guessing he changed the MAP scaling?
you can compare it to your file in cmr to see what was changed...

Re: 06 300c won't start
he couldn't change map scaling because it's still on the stock map sensor. idea was to get it running with just the injector change first.
now it starts but has the tip-in problem.
i was looking at the wrong file, he did indeed rescale the injectors but it doesn't make sense. at the ends, the values are lower. these are larger injectors.
you can't just multiply what's there by the change in injector size?
maybe this is the tip-in problem?
