Neighbors ... 2002 Lincoln Blackwood is running too lean. The intake is replaced with aftermarket cold air, MAF upped to 90mm, and exhaust modified to copy Lightning exhaust. The crossover "T" connection is removed and replaced with individual pipes routed into a dual input/single output muffler and 3" single exhaust pipe. There were no problems during the process until the exhaust modification. Immediately ..... the Blackwood lost 4mpg fuel economy, but screamed. It is so hot, by comparison.
The improved performance and loss of fuel economy led me to think that the engine was running rich. Diablo Predator says too lean. Just a guess, but I think that ECU has gone into an emergency mode to enrich the fuel mixture.
