Chevy Silverado 2500HD

Post by 2012cp2500HD »

Having a problem when first plugging in the inTune to my 2012 2500HD. I get to the step where it says to turn on the ignition, but after that it comes up and says "Reading original backup" and stays at 0%. Been like this for the past hour and wondering if it is OK to turn the key off and unplug it?

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Seems funny the website says you do.....

http://www.diablosport.com/product-search.html

Just like it says it supports TCM controls as well.

Doesn't support the 2011 2500HD tranny yet. I don't understand how you can advertise things and sell different things.

I'm confused....

support is based on the module. It CAN read and write the TCM in that truck (despite the fact that your PCM is not officially supported yet).

So maybe in your search for products that fit specific vehicles you should list the PCM's that are supported.

Maybe something like that will hurt your sales to much I suppose. Seems most around here are in the same boat. You sucker us in to buy your product and then say "we are working on updates", "we are adding more support", etc.

Quite the business you guys run. If i ran mine like that I would be broke.

I dont think you are understanding what I am saying....

Your T43 TCM is supported by our tool. if the specific calibration is not supported, we'll add it.

You E78 PCM is not supported, by any handheld, and we are currently testing added support for that.

Thanks

So why won't my TCM options even show up?

I have posted original backup quite a few times now.

Here it is again

because, your specific TCM/tranny calibration ID is not supported! as previously mentioned....

every engine and transmission has different programming calibrations.. i.e. "ID's"... by GM... everytime they update their programming, it's a new/different calibration ID for that programming update/version...

so if you're specific calibration ID is not in the programming for the tool, then it will not be supported by the tool...

hence why they would have to add that particular calibration ID to the tool, so that it recognizes it and it would then be supported by the tool...

other people's calibration ID's are already programmed into the tools, so that's why theirs are supported... yours may not be, so that's why it's not supported....

So.. All we have to do is add the Cal ID for the TCM then?

Any Update for the "G" VIN trucks?

Seems I would think some new CAL ID's should be added by now.

Mine is still a paperweight as usual. :crashing:
