2006 Dodge CTD U7131, vehicle not in database ?

Post by Smoked! »

Hey all, first time poster, long time diablo products user. (since early days of the delta chip).

I have a 2006 Dodge CTD with a 6spd and 4x4. I just bought the U7131 online from a Diablo approved site and it came today.

I hooked up the tuner and it said that the vehicle was not in the data base and I needed to call the vendor for a upgrade...CAL_ID 35325551AS.

I'd sure like to get this fixed ASAP as I am going on a trip tomorrow, and would like to have some bragging rights if you know what I mean.

I have already upgraded the firmware to the latest revision, but that did not help.

If it is as simple as emailing me a file, please email it to [email protected].

Thanks!

Unfortunately Dodge has released a new batch of calids that we do not yet have support for.
We will be doing a new revision in the near future to add support for these calids, but we do not have a solution until that is done.

I talked to the a tech today and he said that I need to register my predator online so that as soon as a update came it would be emailed to me.

That's great and all, but I don't see any way how to on this site. How do I go about this?

I sure hope that it isn't the 3-4 weeks that I think he said.

Looks like there is a new update out.

I'll give it a try and see if it works.

*Keeping my fingers crossed*

Well I've tried the update and it works great. Thanks for getting it out so quickly.

I do have a few questions however.

1. Why so long for the download? Is the file really that big? I really don't remember any of my Ford predators taking this long. It took almost 15 min just to down load the new tune. Not a big deal, I was just really surprised.

2. I don't seem to have the ability to monitor or change any powertrain parameters what so ever...is this comming in the next update?

3. The engine seems to have a slightly rougher idle, is this normal? It's not terribly rough, but it is really noticable.

Did you get the update completed and the tune in the truck?
Let us know what you think...and hold on tight!

HAHA,

I snuck in my post just a minute before your post!

I was really pleased how it woke up my truck. I'll just say that I came very close to catching way too much attention from the local sherrif.

Other than the few questions above, I am really pleased!

The Cummins tools do take longer to load. The Ford tools are surely faster. This is due to the amount of information being transferred.
2. I don't seem to have the ability to monitor or change any powertrain parameters what so ever...is this comming in the next update?
The Cummins Predators do not offer any adjustable parameters, but you can view live data.
3. The engine seems to have a slightly rougher idle, is this normal? It's not terribly rough, but it is really noticable.
We have had several reports of a slightly rough idle. We are looking into this to see if we can make it a bit smoother.

I'm more interested in economy and drivetrain safety - can I safely run the econo mode without modding the exhaust and air flo?

For speed, I have 2 sportbikes!

Yes, the economy tune will work great on a bone stock truck.

That's great, but the current revision doesn't seem to support viewing live data.

I'm assuming that this will be solved in the next revision.

Yes we plan on adding live data to this part number, we are also adding tire size adjustment.
