Two questions
I have the programmer set to performance and I love it, got it for christmas. My round trip to work is about 160 highway miles, plus or minus 2 1/2 hours. My truck is completely factory and I have ALWAYS used 93 octane - never beat on it. I think I am having a problem with my shift from 1st to 2nd - normal throttle it slips a bit then engages fine. WOT and it shifts perfect. I went back to the factory setting and no problem, reinstalled the Predator and it comes back.......any ideas?? My other question is MPG. I have manually calculated it over and over and my best increase is 1.2 mpg, is this average? Can I change any setting to get a little better increase? Thanks in advance for any input!

RE: Two questions
05 Escalade, ?
Try bumping the part throttle shift pressure by about 10%....
1.2 MPG in that huge truck is pretty sweet!
Thanks

RE: Two questions
Yes, an Escalade. I bumped the pressure to 10% and it was a little much, so I have it at 5%. Its amazing, the engagement is so solid and crisp! But the initial slip is still there
Can i set the 1st to 2nd partial throttle parameters like the WOT? At WOT it shifts GREAT??
And do you have any suggestions to bump the fuel economy a little bit... filter, intake, etc....?
Thank you so much again.

RE: Two questions
Don't want to beat ya up, but why did you buy a tank that burns barrels of gas, and then start thinking about gas mileage?
RE: Two questions
Hey Ny, Do you still have TQ mgmt enabled? I have an 05' Avalanche and had a similar issue for a while until I completely disabled TQ mgmt. Mine would feel like a slip or pause for a split second(s) before engaing into 2nd gear. If this sounds like the same issue you have, try disabling upshift TQ reduction and see if that helps. What seems to happens is; TQ mgmt will attempt to reduce TQ momentarily to the drivetrain to reduce harsh shifts and extend transmision life. It works great until you increase line pressure and shift quickness, adding in additional power, and it tends to act stupid. I've read on the sticky to leave this enabled but mine drove alot better with it off. Also, that sounds like a very reasonable mpg improvement considering the mass of our vehicles. I'm jealous LOL
I could be a little off in my discription of upshift torque reduction, but I'm sure some one on here will correct me if I'm mistaken. Good Luck!

RE: Two questions
I have not touched the Torque Management. How do you have it set?
Thanks

RE: Two questions
In your modify tune settings: scroll down till you see Torque MgMt. press enter. You should be given three different TQ parameters to adjust. Scroll down to the last one and that is TQ upshift reduction. Press enter and then select "OFF" press enter again. I don't remember the exact labels without looking in my programmer, but you should recognize the settings I'm talking about.
I disabled all TQ mgmt options which completely disables TQ mgmt. But you should experiment with these to find if it is somthing you can live with(or with out). Me; I'm happy without it. GM should have just installed a decent transmission in the first place instead of robbing us of our precious torque.

RE: Two questions
Also, I just remembered there is a setting to adjust shift speed(amount of time it takes to shift from one gear to the next). You can try adjusting your 1-2 shift to happen quicker. May be a good idea to try this first.
