Please, post up your LTW files so we can see what is in your truck.

if you are talking about "modify tune" not writing properly to the 1-2 & 2-3 shift tables, yes, that seems to be fixed.mikel wrote:we are looking into this and see that it was already fixed for the only calid that was reported here.
Anyone having this issue currently please post your calid (options/troubleshooting/show info)
Thanks
attached is a last tune written I posted on page 1 of "modify tune" not writing properly to the 1-2 & 2-3 shift tables.

Re: 2011 Dodge ram shifting issues...when's the fix coming?
what is NOT fixed, is 2011 and 2012 Rams being able to shift WOT much higher than 5800rpm, even if shift tables and shift scalars are properly adjusted to shift at 6000rpm, 6200rpm etc.
posted this on page 1 too:
"attached are a 6000rpm WOT shift custom tune, and a log of WOT shifts with the 6000rpm shift tune.
it's shifting early at about 5700- 5800 rpm.
6000rpm WOT shifts should spin up to at least 6050rpm even 6150 rpm before shift completes and rpms drop in next gear."
Mikel, please look at attached tune, and see if the 6000rpm WOT shifts are properly done, including proper "headroom" on the rev limit.
raised rpms at 80% and 134% TPS in shift tables in "Functions" should be correct for 6000rpm WOT shifts. shifts at 6000rpm when set this way on 2005- 2010 Rams.
Tables>TM>Rev Limit Drive Surface is 6400 and Scalars>TM>Max Allowed Rev Limit is 6400. that should be high enough for 6000rpm WOT shifts, right? it has worked fine on 2005- 2010 Rams.
when I use the same 6000rpm WOT shift settings on a 2005- 2010 Rams, rpms spin past 6000rpm a bit, 6050rpm even 6150rpm, before shift completes and rpms drop, which I consider to be a normal WOT shift.

Re: 2011 Dodge ram shifting issues...when's the fix coming?
attached is LTW from 2011 PowerWagon. "modify Tune" made the right changes to make the truck shift at 6000rpm at WOT, but WOT shifts happen at about 5800.
don't have a log of WOT shifts from this truck, but owner was watching the tach closely.

Re: 2011 Dodge ram shifting issues...when's the fix coming?
there may be 2 issues?
marku and others are saying they just bounce off the limiter on the 1-2 shift when its raised, which means the shift point change worked, but there is a limiter in the way...

Re: 2011 Dodge ram shifting issues...when's the fix coming?
Mike I had no issues with it bouncing off the limiter till I loaded the tune u sent me to try. All other tunes before where commanded to shift at 6k but shifted at 5716 before. The tune David sent me commanded to shift at 5800 actually shifted at 5884

Re: 2011 Dodge ram shifting issues...when's the fix coming?
I think at this point its an issue with the PCM not allowing the changes. I tried 2 different tunes and both shifted under 6k 5750ish set at 5800 and the other at 6000rpm.
At this point I think you guys need to get a 2011 Ram in there ASAP and look at this issue to see if it can be resolved. Logging and emailing, honestly, I don't think its going to fix it. I don't think its human error that's causing this. I know David is very well informed as he stated on how to adjust parameters accordingly. The PCM isn't communicating with the changes the programmer is telling it to do. I wish Diablo the best and I hope it fixes it, I know I don't want my truck to take in a bad tune and eff the transmission up. So I went back to the safe tune ive been running for a couple months now. I just wish I could get 6100rpm out of this thing.

^^^This. My dumb ass self made this mistake and then came here complaining that raised shift points weren't working on my 2012 Challenger. Then I figured it out.mikel wrote:I see some saying the 1-2 adjust lead to bouncing off the limiter...that indicates that the shift point was raised, and you need to raise the rev limiter to get there
Re: 2011 Dodge ram shifting issues...when's the fix coming?
It still doesn't work. I had a tune from mike I tried and no bueno. Whitelighting tuned a bunch of trucks hadn't had issues until 2011+. With points raised autos tick raised scalers raised nothing works

there are 3 parts to the rev limit in Drive, and all 3 parts need to work in unison.
it is my guess that one or more of the 3 parts parts of the rev limit in Drive are not actually getting raised.
in my failed attempts to get both 11 and 12 Rams to shift WOT above 5800, I have set rev limit as much as 500rpm above WOT shift points:
WOT shift at 6000rpm, rev limit at 6500rpm. weird thing is, an 11 or 12 Ram acts like it is hitting a rev limit at about 5950rpm with these settings.............
rev limit 300rpm above WOT shift points is usually enough to avoid hitting rev limit during WOT shift, unless you have n2o or/and a blower.
