How to Add PID to a Predator U7165

Post by kevinl »

i wish or would like to add two PID for monitoring in the Predator, there not listed as PIDs in the Trinity either..

two additional PID worth monitoring on a 2003 -2007 Ford 6.0L Diesel engine is the ICP pressure sensor and the Duty cycle on the IPR valve. when troubleshooting a failed 6.0 high pressure oil system you need to see above .8 volts on the pressure sensor. also a owner of the 6.0L should periodic monitor the duty cycle / Pulse width of the IPR solenoid which should be in the 14% range and prevent a future failure, when the duty cycle approaches the 84% range..

side note: how do you change the metric values in K/pa to PSI when being display on the Predator for Intake Manifold Pressure. wish it calculated and displayed these values in either English or Metric..

best bet here would be to use the dataviewer software on a PC to stream the data, there are many more pids available, and the units can be changed. There is no option to change display units in predator, trinity can do it in the create a new log menu.
