2003 Mustang GT....tune fails at 99%

I bought a Trinity so Im trying to hook my buddy at work up with my intune. When tuning it records stock file but when writing performace tune it fails at 99% every time. Im not a Ford guy.

hmm, could there be a chip on the pcm?
that would be my first guess here.

the pcm is in the pass. side kick panel, held in by *I think* a 10mm bolt, take the bolt out, pull the pcm down, and if there is a chip, its generally sticking out the side of the pcm on the exposed j-port.
If its there, make sure the keys are out of the ignition, and pull the battery, then remove the chip, and then redo the tune

I will check with him tomorrow. He did buy the GT used from a local guy. Still 38k miles young.

yeah, its not uncommon to see lots of them with chips in there that nobody knew anything about

No Chip was installed. He got the lower of the two tunes to install. The Diablo 93 one failed.

so the diablo tune fails anytime he tries it?

The Diablo tune went in today. I have no clue. Nothing was done any different. Good battery voltage etc.

hmmm....id check any/all connectors at the OBDII port first.
