mikel wrote:Gentlemen, we got a Cherokee in the shop today, duplicated the ABS issue, fixed it, then redid the tire size with a new method and it worked properly. It also makes the light go out now if it is currently on.

I have a tester for Trinity that I will share with anyone who needs it asap, I should have a fix for intune as well in the next week or so.

Sorry for the delays.

Thanks
Hope you are correct. Have been promised a fix "in a week or so" before and we are still no longer patiently waiting for a fix. :punisher:

Thanks for the effort Mike but I returned mine and I will not be purchasing DiabloSport products just because of the principle of bad business and I hope others do the same.

Just updated the tool with 1r10a version... Reloaded in my jeep grand cherokee 2012 overland .. changed the tire size that I currently have one and the abs system is still disable!! this is beyond terrible Diablo sport is putting our lives in danger since they are compromising our abs safety. A class action lawsuit should be started and push them to fix this issue. Poor quality and I guaranty I'm spreading the word of this poor product! 6 months and still no fix for our safety! wait till someone dies and the name diablo sport comes around as the cause.

The fix is in! We have been hearing this for almost an entire year. WHERE IS IT?

All these problems are costing us time and money! Have the dealer flash your vehicle $200. The latest from Diablosport, send us your PCM and we will flash it for you. Yeah Right! I am going to pull my computer and send it to you guys and in the interim I will cut a hole in the floorboard and push my car around like the Flintstones did. :drivingbad:

My truck has been skidding all over the road without ABS as a result of Diablo's failures! IS DIABLO LIABLE IF I GET INTO AN ACCIDENT? I THINK SO!

Here is the list of latest problems I am experiencing from the poorly written malfunctioning tunes: ABS Failure, Cooling System Fan Problems and Cooling System Leak, Transmission slapping into gear and 4X4 not working properly when engaged.

EPIC FAILURE IS AN UNDERSTAEMENT

Spoke to Diablosport today and demanded a refund only to be told I was outside the 30 day return window. BS is what this is! Diablo has strung us along for almost a year with fairy tales and illusions. Mikel, I saw it work with my own eyes! Yeah"right after you smoked some good stuff!!

Its time for legal action......

Thats a load of crap and you know it. Chrysler is very aware of the Magnusson-Moss Warranty Act and the fact that they can't void anything unless a mod directly causes a problem. And even if it does, they can only void parts of the warranty for parts that were affected. They can't just go around voiding complete warranties. They know the laws. If you believe they can, then you obviously don't. :lamer:

Took my 2012 JGC Overland into dealer with ABS light issue. They found the tire size data was corrupted, programmed correct size in and no more ABS issue, done under warranty with no questions or comments.

Returned my under 1 year WARRANTY, not 30 day guarantee. As they can not fix it, they really had no recourse but to refund, but must be done by vendor you bought it from, not direct to DS. If they balk at that and you paid by credit card, let your card company know, show them the messages in this forum, and they will likely charge back for the cost.

Also, this is excerpt from below message from DS returns department:

to me
Please explain the situation to 4 Wheel Parts and reference that you spoke with Brian in the returns department. They should honor the return since DiabloSport told you to wait for this update. 4 Wheel Parts will be able to return the part here for a refund so they should not have a problem refunding you. Please let me know if there is any trouble with your dealer and I can have my sales rep contact them.

4wheel parts took it back with a copy of that email. It was very simple.

It is NOT a load of crap and you are ignorant for saying so.....:lamer: I myself had a warranty voided earlier this year on a 2011 GC by installing a tuner by Chrysler directly. The VIN was recorded in the Chrysler database and no dealer would touch it. It can be done very easliy, you fail to understand that they can deem a programmer responsible for ANY electrical failure with ANY sensor or non mechanical part because it ties directly to the PCM, TCM, and other sensor brains. I ended up trading that jeep in and getting a new one because of it. The only things that they still would warranty on the vehicle was the suspension, steering, and differentials because they were not computer controlled..... Thats pretty much the whole warranty if you ask me.

I also have a friend that is the service writer manager at my dealer and still couldnt get any work done on that jeep. The ONLY option was to have the extended warranty pro rated and refunded to me.

With this programmer failure on my new GC, my dealer just updated the PCM firmware as of my request for free while it was in getting some other warranty work done. I was charged nothing and the ABS light went away. Just dont try and re-write tire size data as it will just happen again.

That being said, this still is the biggest FAILBOAT of all time from any programmer company.....

You FAIL. Had you mentioned the Magnuson Moss Act and getting a lawyer they would have covered anything. I've been through this crap with Chrysler. They replaced 4 differentials on my Jeep SRT8, and that was with a full heads/cam/headers/etc build. They will do anything to avoid a lawsuit they know they can't win. Not only does it cost them legal fees, it also costs them the repair anyway.

Can anyone confirm that any recent releases fixed the ABS issue? My dealership tried to reset the light, to no avail. They made up some bizarre story that the ABS light will be on if you put oversize tires on the vehicle, but I never let on that I knew what the real cause was. They also told me that they reflashed the ABS module and the light came back on. Even the dealer doesn't know what's wrong with it...

the release is not out yet. The dealer is inept in this case, as we use the factory tool to reset the light, which is how we found the fix....Id suggest finding a dealer that has a clue.

Your comment may not be entirely correct. I had to put my original tires back on and then have the ABS light reset. Two different dealers could NOT get the ABS light to reset with the oversized tires installed after the DS tuner screwed up the tire info. Then put the oversized tires back on and all is OK now. Weird!
