2013 Challenger R/T Stock vs 93 Tune Dyno Results

Post by GTFODodge »

Below are the before and after dyno sheets for my R/T with the stock tune and the 93 octane tune (93 Shell gas, btw). Pretty disappointing results considering that DS promises gains of 20 HP & 25 TQ with the 93 tune - in reality, I only saw gains of 3.6 HP and 6.7 TQ. Also, the 93 tune runs a little rich across the band, probably because DS is playing it safe. I kept the low end fuel ratio as it stood with the tune, leaned it out about 3% in the mid-range (which was perfect) and 10% in the upper range (which seemed to have little to no effect - the car just seems to dump fuel in that range no matter what). All that being said, I do like the way the car runs with the 93 tune but mostly because I can turn off MDS, increase shift firmness, decrease throttle lag, etc., and that's the main reason I bought it, so I'm happy - but if I had bought it solely based on the DS power increase claims, it'd be going back in the box.

Anyway, here's the dyno sheets:

Don't forget, you're numbers are at peak. Their numbers could be some where else in the power curve. Look at 4400rpm. Theres pretty close to a 20hp gain there.

Dyno tuned my 2011 R/T today using the Trinity. Gained 50 ftlb torque at 3,500 RPM. Good gains overall.
