Part Throttle Upshift

Post by sbustillos6 »

Hello, I was able to tune my 2012 Dodge Ram with the 5.7L HEMI successfully, but I have a question. What does part throttle upshift mean? What is it for? What does APP mean? Should I change it? It gives me percentages, depending on the gear. For example 1-2 15% APP. Then I can change the RPMs. I want more performance  >:)

that lets you adjust when it upshifts at part throttle relative to Accelerator Pedal Position :)

So what is best if I want more performance? Can you recommend me the RPMs at different percentages? I dont understand how it works. Should I set higher or lower RPMs?

Best bet is not to make any changes if you're not sure why you would want or need to :)

Ok, I also raised the rev limiter to the highest possible, also the 1-2 and 3-4 to the highest RPMs which is supposedly 6200 RPMs, but it only revs to 5600-5700 RPMs. Why is this?
