P0300 Code

Post by MotherMopar »

Running the 91octCAI tune for my Charger SRT8. Had the 17 version, and the car shifted with hesitation, then I checked and noticed that my car registered a P0300 code: Engine Misfire Detected.

I ended-up installing version 18 and all is well, but what would have caused the engine misfire? No problems before with stock tune.

Thanks.

BTW: LOVE the tuner! I nailed a 0-60 of 4.22 seconds! Previous best without the tuner (all other mods the same) was 4.62!

Not extremely familiar with the SRT8s as far as quirks, but I know that with mustangs, misfire codes are random occurences. If you do not get the code again, it is nothing to lose any sleep over. If you do receive it, see if it gives you a cylinder number and check the plugs, etc associated with that cylinder.

We see random misfire codes with the GM L67s also. I'd assume its just one of those quirks that we have to deal with for driving domestic vehicles.

Seems odd, but if it does not come back, dont worry about it.

Thanks
