Hello all!
Bought a trinity for my 2013 Charger RT yesterday. Could not be happier. It's incredible. Also, I didn't have a single problem backing up my factory tune and loading the new one (as I have seen here some people had some issues). I do have a couple questions though that hopefully someone can help with.
1: Aside from the performance 91 tune, the only other things I changed were disable MDS, Throttle boost to 20%, and maxed out the speed limiter. The only mods I've done to my car are a Mopar CAI, and Flowmaster cat back exhaust. Would you any of you guys recommend any other changes?
2: I also have a 2004 Mustang GT. It looks like the predator supports it, but the trinity does not. Is there any way to "port" that tune over to the trinity to do that vehicle as well?
Thanks everyone! -Chris

I have same car and same mods as you. You have done about all you can do, but I do recommend watching your knock. I was running shell 93 octane on the 91 tune I was seeing spikes of 3.5* of short term knock above 5000 Rpms. That is not horrible, especially since it never made it to long term knock, but I wanted to reduce it. I added 5% fuel from 5-7K and it got rid of most ST knock. I get blips of .5-1* here and there but that’s nothing to worry about.
Also just for fun factor you can increase your rev limit in neutral to 6000. Makes "piping" people a lot more fun and sounds mean as hell. Stock is limited to 4500 I think.
I wish they could adjust shift points, but I do not think that will ever be possible. The Hemi loves to be reved to 6K.. My truck revs to 6k and its a beast.

This is the first time I've ventured into tuning a vehicle. How did you determine you had a knock? I don't audibly hear anything different other than my exhaust note being a tad deeper.

Go to the monitoring section of the trinity. There will be two default layouts. One is called Hemi and the other is called tuner. Select the tuner layout. Scroll through until u find the page that has "knk St retard" and "knk lt retard" find a quite place and go full throttle thru 2nd gear at least. Watch the ST and LT knock.13ChargerRT wrote:This is the first time I've ventured into tuning a vehicle. How did you determine you had a knock? Thanks for the info, Chris. Much appreciated.
Anyone else (probably from DS) able to answer question 2?

Your tuner will only support one car at a time. It is currently married to your Dodge's ECU. You would have to uninstall it to install it on a different vehicle.

Yeah, that part I understand. I'm more than willing to roll back, drop a tune on the Mustang, and then keep it in the Charger full time. I'd just like to be able to do that, if it's possible.iRace559 wrote:Your tuner will only support one car at a time. It is currently married to your Dodge's ECU. The 04 GT will work with an inTune, but not Trinity currently, sorry.
