AEV tune

Post by julan »

Hi,

I have 2007 wrangler with 6.4 engine swap and AEV PCM. I need to tune the car, please advice.

Note: The customer has the original PCM and 5.7 as well, I do have an access to witech (dealer device) so that would help if we need it.

Have you tried plugging into the AEV PCM yet?

What PCM is it?

if it asks for a cal update, stop and unplug it, otherwise you will render the car undriveable.

Thanks

5.7 is not a 6 cylinder, it's a v8.

Maybe I am not being clear enough.

If it asks for a cal update, you can not tune it.
They have edited that pcm to work outside the vehicle it was intended for, and if you update the pcm, you erase those changes and render the vehicle useless.

Only way to tune it is if the cal they load is directly supported by the tool.
To this point, you have not even confirmed if the tool asks for a cal update or not.
