After a quick initial review of some of the files, I do see some issues.
Won't take too long to resolve them. I'm going to work to get you some things you currently don't have now.
I'll keep a progress report so you can follow what we are doing.
This is what Mike wesley said on Dec 21/07 how long is too long?
There are alot of tunes to test and we have alot out there being tested.
Look at it this way, around 30 files exist from Ford for the 6.0.
With 3 tunes each, that's quite a few files.
So far feedback has been very good. Some feedback reports of fuel economy issues, but not 100% sure it is the tune or the change to low sulphur fuel.

I was getting 19.5 mpg running ultra low sulphur with base file VXCF4H2 and r17. Took the truck in for another problem and it came out with VXCF5H5, looking back wish I would have never taken it in. Now with r19 I’m getting 14.5 mpg at best with less power. As I understand it, Ford changed the available timing (I think retarded) in the FICM to address emissions and reduce warranty issues with programmer usage. If retarded I guess that would make sense with the diesel smell, lack of power and mileage given the same amount of fuel input.

I have experienced the same problem with Ford "updating their tune file". About 6 weeks ago a new PCM was installed and now my mileage has suffered a 2-3 mpg drop. MIKE, Is what we need an older pcm tune with more advanced timing as a base file or can this issue be addressed with our predator. If an older file exists how do we get one. Ford has told me they can only install the "latest up to the hour tune file". I use 500 ppm fuel which is available at a local Shell and seem to get better performance than the 15 ppm. Sometimes I mix in some Shell 15ppm as a test for cleanliness (exhaust, oil, etc). I only use Shell or Chevron "ford's fuel used at the manufacture plant in testing".

Do you mean this thread?
I dont see anything about PATS here, but it is the only unanswered thread started by you....
I will ask one of our diesel tuners to reply there.

Thanks

Mike,
My post on 12/27/07 makes reference to the PATS system (among other things) being bypassed by the Predator causing intermittent flashing of the theft light for the first 5 minutes or so after starting the vehicle.
Ford said the PCM was ruined and a tune had been burned into it and they couldnt reflash it to reset the PATS. I had to purchase a new PCM to correct the PATS bypass problem after all the components to the PATS system were replaced and the problem was not corrected.
I originally called Diablo on the phone the previous week and was told I would receive a call back.

You actually told me after my post I would be contacted. Still no contact has been made.
Thanks Mike for your concern. Much appreciated. I look forward to being helped when my turn in line comes.
Hey maybe you just want to trade my tuner for a Superchips?

Almost forgot, The new PCM corrected the PATS problem, which has now returned after reinstalling the Predator tune.

I am running cal-i.d.VRAA7S5 on my 2001 f-250. Also its ford_7_3 version 7r19d. The shifts on the 60 horsepower seem to really lug into gear when I am on the go pedal. 85 horse is alot better in that aspect, but it has a really bad flat spot in the acceleration if you are driving it normal. 100 horse has alot of turbo surge, and really feels like 50 horsepower. The 85 setting has the most power to me. My engine mods are, AFE stage 2, 3.5 inch downpipe, to 4 inch to 7 inch stacks. I also have 38 inch tires and a 10 inch lift with 4.56 gears. I also have tranny temp, boost, and egt gauges.

I have read through a bunch of posts and 1 thing seems very clear to me........some of you guys need to have more patience!!! Developing software, and testing, and fixing, and testing again takes alot of time and alot of quality control. I sure as hell want a quality tune!!! Not a hotfix to what is going on now. I am sure alot of you would be alot madder if mike and those guys were to rush and put out a tune that wasnt 100% tested and wound up blowing your tranny or nuking the turbo!!!! I am not trying to start any kind of fights with you guys on this forum by any means. I have read almost all the threads and posts on this forum now for the Powerstroke and to be honest with you Mike and the other guys have been nothing but Proffessional. So why dont we do these guys a favor and let them work on getting us the quality tune that we all diserve and they want to give us!!!! Lets try to keep this thread to providing the feedback that these guys want and need for our tunes. Just FYI the company I work for develops software for use on government computers for the military. At the beginning of any kind of software development there is always a timeline set for software development, testing, fixing, test track, and final software editing. This stuff takes a serious amount of time guys, and alot of times the company just cant meet the initial deadline that was set no matter how many hours have been worked, bugs and other things of that nature seem to always pop up. I have got faith that these guys will make the situation right with our good input. How many companies do you guys know of that are actually looking for feedback from there customers on how to make the situation right?

first off I am not your bud, and I didnt flame on you.......so dont flame on me  I just wanna see the situation get fixed as badly as you and I think more feedback about the way are trucks are acting with this tune is the answer.
